Bio/Artist’s Statement

I am a studio artist currently living and working in Macon Georgia. I work primarily in fiber, surface design, acrylic, and mixed media, incorporating photography, digital composition, and traditional fine art and textile media (individually or in any combination) to create original fabrics as a canvas designed for quilted gestural and contour drawing.

Having spent my career as a theatre designer creating environments and costumes for the unfolding of dramatic stories, it is not surprising to me that in my current work as an artist, I am most intrigued by the poetics of light, the character of spaces and shapes, and the dialogue between colors.
